With over 10 years of technology, speaking, and executive experience, Jason Illian is as unique as he is passionate. He’s been referred to as an innovative leader, web visionary, published author, cultural engineer, and TV personality, but like the generation he serves, he’s content without just one title.
The former CEO of tangle.com (Big Jump Media)—a social network and video platform that serves over 3 millions monthly visitors—Jason has a passion for new media and technology. He helps organizations think “tradigitally”—applying digital principals and ideas to traditional businesses. His strategic thinking has helped corporations, organizations, non-profits, churches and leaders be more innovative.
With his unique background in both technology and relationships, Jason has presented at the Goldman Sachs Technology & Internet Conference, the Rethink Conference, and hundreds of other organizations. He has been featured on ABC, The Tyra Banks Show and done numerous radio interviews, from Mancow to Laura Ingram. He has authored two published books, including MySpace MyKids: A Parent’s Guide to Understanding Social Networking, and Undressed: The Naked Truth about Love, Sex, and Dating. His upcoming book is tradigital thinking – how facebook, twitter, and social media will change traditional business. He has also served as the co-founder for an innovative strategy and as the Vice President of Institutional Finance for a multi-billion dollar investment management firm.
Jason graduated Magna Cum Laude from Texas Christian University with a BBA in International Finance. He continued his education with TCU and the London School of Economics, held the distinguished honor of being named one of the top 20 students in America by USA Today, was a Rhodes scholar finalist, and was an NCAA Academic All-American while being captain of the TCU football team.
When Jason isn’t moving mountains, he is spending time with his wife, Alisha, and his rambunctious, one-year old tornado, Reign. Although he rarely admits it in public, he is also the owner of a yippee, metrosexual Maltese dog named Sumo. He lives in Dallas, TX (or at least that is where his mail is delivered.)
